CLUB POLICIES

RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS

REGISTRATION:

  • Each new and returning member will pay a yearly registration fee of $75 upon signing up for Aspirals recreational program. The registration fee is non-refundable once processed. 
  • A 10% siblings discount will be applied towards classes for the second and subsequent siblings from the same family. The siblings discount will apply towards the lower class fee.  The discount does not apply towards the registration fees.
  • A 15% discount will apply if taking a second class during the week.

 

TRAINING FEES:

  • Training fees are collected monthly and are due on the 1st of each month from September - June. 
  • Payment methods: cash or pre-authorized credit card payment processed automatically through our new and secure registration portal (Parents must enroll through the portal). 
  • If paying by cash, a credit card is required on file. 
  • The Aspirals 2023-2024 Recreational Season begins September 10, 2023, and ends June 28, 2024. The training fee is based on 38 weeks of training and is divided into 10 equal monthly payments, regardless of the number of weeks in the month. Holidays and scheduled breaks are excluded from monthly fees.
 
NSF FEES AND LATE PAYMENTS
  • If paying by cash, and payment is not received by the first class of the month,  a late fee of $10 will apply for each week that a payment is late.  
  • Two consecutive late cash payments will result in automatic switch to credit card payment.
  • If enrolled in pre-authorized credit card payment and payment does not go through (NSF), payement must be arranged prior to the next class. Failure to pay the fees will result in a $30 NSF fee posted to the account. 
  • The outstanding fees must be paid  before any more classes can be attended. 
 
LATE PICK UP FEES
 
  • Children must be picked up on time at the end of the practice. There is no supervision once class has ended. If you are running late, please call the office to inform us. Late pickup will be charged $1/minute. 
  • All gymnasts must wear club uniform. Please purchase yours at the office.
  • Hair must be neatly tied back
  • No jewellery, watches, belts, skirts etc. may be worn in the gym.
  • All gymnasts are required to bring their own apparatus to every class: Rope, Ball, Hoop, Ribbon. 
  • These can be purchased at the office.
  • Aspirals management must receive notice of cancellation in writing (info@aspirals.ca) at least a week before the next billing date (first of each month). If cancelling after the monthly payment has been processed, no refunds will be issued for that billing cycle.
  • There will be no partial refund of fees if the gymnast withdraws in the middle of the month.
  • If the family goes on vacation, the child gets sick or injured and misses more than two straight weeks of training, 50% of monthly fees must be paid in order to maintain their spot in the group.
For the health of our members and staff, do not send sick children (or adults) to class.
  • There are no make-up classes for any missed training during the training season. Fees will not be pro-rated for missed classes for any reason.
  • Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
  • If inclement weather is forecasted (heavy snowfall, freezing rain, etc...), we will make the decision whether or not to cancel classes by 3:00 pm. All members will be notified by e-mail of the cancellation.
  • There are no make up classes for inclement weather days.
  • Fees will not be prorated due to inclement weather day cancellations.
  • All gymnasts must wear club uniform to each class. Hair must tied back with a hair elastic away from the face.  
  • All gymnasts must bring their own hand apparatus to every practice (rope, ball, hoop, and ribbon). These can be purchased at our pro shop.
  • Toronto Aspirals reserves the right to make changes to class size without notice.
  • Toronto Aspirals reserves the right to make changes to coaching staff without notice.
  • Judgments made by coaches must not be publicly questioned by parents.
  • Absolutely no food in the gym. Water bottles are allowed in plastic bottles only, no glasses or paper cups. 
  • Do not leave any valuables in the change rooms. This includes favourite and special toys. Toronto Aspirals is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Use of electronics and phones is prohibited during training.
  • At the end of the year, all Beamers & Hoopers groups and Artistic Rhythm 1 & 2 groups will take part in the year-end show that will take place at the end of May. If you will not participate in the show, you must notify your coach well in advance so that they do not include your child in the group routine. Simply not showing up is not an option.
  • On the last day of classes at the end of the recreational season, (in May) all participants will receive a report card and a certificate of completion.
  • In order to receive a certificate of completion, the gymnast must take part in the year-end show.
  • Toronto Aspirals Management reserves the right to suspend and/or revoke club membership due to non-compliance of established policies and procedures.
  1. Aspirals Gymnastics wants to ensure each gymnast has an equal opportunity to learn and participate. In the event that a gymnast is not being respectful, not participating, is late, is being disruptive in class or is interfering with the coach, or the other gymnast(s) during class the following course of action will be taken:
    • 1st Time: A verbal warning will be given to stop the action.
    • 2nd Time: A verbal warning will be given and the gymnast may be asked to sit out for 5 minutes.
    • 3rd Time: If a gymnast doesn't stop the poor behaviour he/she will be asked to sit out for the rest of the class

      In the event that the gymnast continues the behaviour in subsequent classes, the coach will discuss the matter with the gymnast's parent(s) at which point it will be determined if the gymnast will continue to be a member of the club.

  2. When registering, parents must notify the club's administration if the child has behaviour/focusing/learning issues.
  1.  At Aspirals, the lead of coaching is undertaken strictly by the professionals at Aspirals. 
  2. Parents may not enter the gym or otherwise contact your child during practice.
  3. If you need to speak to the coach, do not contact your coach with questions after practice, rather request an appointment to speak to her in private at a mutually convenient time.
  4. Taking photos and video recordings during practice is strictly prohibited as it is disruptive to the gymnasts and coaches. Photos and videos may be taken of your child only during an open class at the end of each session. Photos of other children may not be taken, unless you have explicit permission from their parents. This also applies to group photos.
  5. Respect for coaches, staff, gymnasts, and the sports are requested at al times.
  6. Enjoy the sport, the competition and the spirit of sportsmanship. Always. 
  • Safety first - never endanger yourself or others
  • Always follow directions - when in doubt, ask your coach.
  • Only bare feet, socks or gymnastics toe shoes may be work in the gym area.
  • Hair must be worn in a ponytail during practice.
  • No running in the gym, except when directed by a coach.
  • No food or chewing gum allowed on the gym floor. Only water bottles are allowed inside the gym.
  • No jewellery of any kind during class.
  • No gymnastics while waiting for class to start in the lobby or the hallways.
  • Gymnasts may not enter the gym without the coach. 
  • TELL YOUR COACH ANY TIME YOU INJURE ANY PART OF YOUR BODY.
  • At the end of the class, always wait inside the building for a parent/guardian to pick you up.
