COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

At Aspirals Gymnastics Centre, we offer three types of competitive programs:

Pre-Competitive, Interclub & Competitive (Provincial/National)

ELITE KIDS

PRE-COMPETITIVE

Ages: 5 years old

Athletes train 3-4 hours/week

Gymnastics: 2 classes per week
(each class is  1.5 hrs long)

plus

Dance: 1 hour per week
(optional)

Now recruiting girls born in 2019 for
2024-2025 season!

This program is an introduction to competitive training. Girls as early as five years of age, who are interested in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics, are accepted regardless of natural ability. 

Gymnasts participate in a Winter Show, one in-club competition and a Year-End Show.

Prerequisites: Genuine interest, good attendance, positive attitude, ability to focus. 

Gymnasts are introduced to basic body movements, jumps, turns, elements of dance, rhythmic apparatus and floor acrobatics.  

INTERCLUB COMPETITIVE

Ages: 6 y+

Athletes train 5-8 hours/week

Gymnastics: 2 classes per week
(each class is  2-3.5 hrs long)

plus

Dance: 1 hour per week
(optional)

OUR INTERCLUB CLASSES
Interclub 1 (6-8 yrs old)
Interclub 2 (8-10 yrs old)
Interclub 3 (9 years +)

Evaluation is required to join the Interclub Program

This program is designed for athletes who would like to be more involved in gymnastics. The focus of the Interclub program is to increase flexibility, build strenth, develop technical boydy elements and apparatus skills (rope, ball, hoop, ribbon, clubs).

Gymnasts participate in various performances, shows, demonstrations and one in-club competition. Select gymansts also take part in invitational competitions throughout the year. 

COMPETITIVE

PROVINCIAL & NATIONAL

Ages 7 yrs +

Athletes train 9-20+ hours/week

Gymnasts train 3-5 times per week

Evaluation is required to join the
Provincial and National Program

Our Provincial and National programs require a substantial commitment from athletes and their families. Gymnasts will work hard to perfect apparatus and body techniques and to polish their individual routines. Two dance classes per week, a vigorous fintess workout, attention to every small detain with determination to do one’s very best is the formula for success in these programs. 

Gymnasts will take part in numerous invitational and Provincial/ National competitions and those selected will take part in Provincial and National Championships.
