In competitive gymnastics, a gymnast is expected to practice forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and other acrobatic displays. Practicing these basic abilities will help you develop a strong core.
We’ve all seen it in the Olympics. Competitive gymnastics works with the vault, but it takes years of practice, and gymnasts must learn how to properly jump on the springboard. This is the staple of any competitive gymnastics program. The balance beam will develop a gymnast’s sense of balance and timing. Individuals can work on jump to front support mounts, tuck sit, roll to candlestick holds, and rises.
